When the Streets Speak Resistance

When the Streets Speak Resistance is a photographic series created in Geneva during the summer and autumn of 2025. Through a documentary and street photography approach, the artist developed a visual reportage of the demonstrations in support of Palestine that moved through the streets of the city.

The series draws attention to the faces of those who brought the streets to life, for it is the people themselves – collectively shaping these movements – who define their rhythm, atmosphere, and identity. The work celebrates the individuals who form these human tides and the strength, sense of justice, and community they embody. In the streets, individuals merge into a collective voice, united around a shared call for justice.

In these “interesting times,” when it is often easy to feel disoriented, building community, nurturing human connections, and celebrating moments of collective resistance becomes essential. The work invites viewers to look at one another and recognize themselves in the eyes of those beside them – people who raise their fists to the sky and continue to believe in the possibility of a better future.
