Home-coming.Home-making
This project is a conversation between Rome and Geneva, exploring how I perceive and inhabit the spaces of each city. Having moved between places, home has always felt like a place I passed through but never fully inhabited. Returning to streets I once knew, I carried a camera, thinking I would see the familiar. But the lens changed everything. What I had taken for granted now felt new: gestures, faces, the quiet rhythms of everyday life revealed themselves as the truest markers of place. Walking slowly, lingering where I might once have rushed, I noticed what had shifted, what had disappeared, what had quietly transformed while I was away. In this ongoing work, I follow those subtle changes, tracing the spaces of memory and discovery, and finding in the act of looking the strange simultaneity of feeling both at home and estranged.
